I had a pile of records that were initially intended to be played at a NYE party. That party had all the goodness it needed so I did not play. This mix is basically what I would have played at NYE had I actually stepped up to the decks.

Mission Cliffs opened up a new climbing wall on Friday.
I brought along some musical accompaniment. To start the night off, he dug into some 60's garage rock which lead into some other slightly more modern crushing classic rock, some lite punk and other goodies.
There were a few little technical difficulties, but they were efficiently solved by Mr Yun - thanks for saving the day.

Siamak of The Tenesmus Trio got older this year. He celebrated with friends, records and cocktails. Here's the opening set from Mr Rogers - a pile of old garage rock from Bands that wished they were The Who and then into some funky numbers working towards the dance party (which happened after).
Oh yeah - and all vinyl, cuz I knew it'd make Soul Suspect and Siamak proud o me.

I recently started listening to a collection of the Goldwax singles. Though they specialized in Memphis Soul, they recorded a bunch of other styles including some great R&B and a few Country acts. After listening to the whole set, I pulled my favorites in to this set. As you can imagine, then tend towards funk, but the Memphis Soul has some blues in it as well. I threw in a couple tracks that were not Goldwax recordings just to get a good (almost) hour long mix of goodies. Enjoy.
